For example, if there is a speaker scheduled during a sit-down dinner, the service has to be on-point and on time. However, it\u2019s not the most effective way to serve <\/span><span id=\"E168\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">large quantities of food to <\/span><span id=\"E169\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">a lot of guests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E171\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span id=\"E172\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit qowt-stl-Strong\">Plated:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E174\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><span id=\"E175\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">Plated service or a served meal is normally used for seated dinners or conventions. This is a more formal presentation; it requires the food service provider to have trained and plentiful staff in order to properly execute this style of service. Plated meals allow for synchronized timing when multiple speakers, awards, and entertainment are scheduled throughout the evening or between courses. This type of service provides for a much smoother and timelier event itinerary and show flow.<\/span><span id=\"E176\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> It\u2019s also<\/span><span id=\"E177\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> less expensive than providing food stations<\/span><span id=\"E178\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> <\/span><span id=\"E179\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">because the hotel already has the staff on payroll<\/span><span id=\"E180\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> and <\/span><span id=\"E181\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">can control food costs much more effectively<\/span><span id=\"E182\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E184\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span id=\"E185\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit qowt-stl-Strong\">B<\/span><span id=\"E186\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit qowt-stl-Strong\">uffet:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E188\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><span id=\"E189\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">The next <\/span><span id=\"E190\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">option is<\/span><span id=\"E191\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> a buffet<\/span><span id=\"E192\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> or<\/span><span id=\"E193\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> food stations. <a href=\"https:\/\/theeventu.com\/individuals\/blog\/appreciation-events-that-exceed-client-expectation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guests<\/a> go to the food and select the items they w<\/span><span id=\"E194\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">ant<\/span><span id=\"E195\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">. <\/span><span id=\"E196\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">Using<\/span><span id=\"E197\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> food service personnel to serve the food, <\/span><span id=\"E198\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">instead of letting the guests serve themselves allows to control portions and reduce food costs, and offers a more professional experience.<\/span><span id=\"E199\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E201\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><span id=\"E202\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">At the smaller food stations, you can incorporate <\/span><span id=\"E203\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">things<\/span><span id=\"E204\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> such as a chef-attended station, where food is cut or cooked in <\/span><span id=\"E205\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">front of the guests. I<\/span><span id=\"E206\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">t\u2019s always helpful to have a double-sided buffet service. It\u2019s also wise to have servers provide the beverages at the table, so no drink lines form with people holding their food plates in their hands.<\/span><\/p>\n<p id=\"E208\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><strong><span id=\"E209\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">All in all, <\/span><span id=\"E210\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">don\u2019t<\/span><span id=\"E211\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\"> skimp on the food and beverage portion of the event you are planning.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p id=\"E213\" class=\"qowt-stl-NormalWeb\"><span id=\"E214\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">Allow for a healthy food and beverage budget that is reflective of the size, style and goal of the event. If you\u2019re planning an over-the-top event, remember that the food will need to be <\/span><span id=\"E215\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">just as amazing<\/span><span id=\"E216\" class=\"qowt-font3-inherit\">.
